Between June 30 and July 9, Marres will host the new program Marres Movements. Marres Movements is a series of performances created for, and building on, the ongoing exhibition The Painted Bird: Dreams and Nightmares of Europe. The program adds moving bodies and musical performances to the landscape of wall paintings and a soundtrack, transforming them into a massive stage set for performance, dance and music. During the first two weeks of July, performers and dancers will enter the exhibition during opening hours with several improvised pieces and interventions and a musical tour through Maastricht. During the evenings, the program will feature more fully scripted pieces. Among the performers are visual artist Annika Kappner, choreographers/dancers Dario Tortorelli, Judit Ruiz Onandi and Hilde Elbers, and composers/musicians Hrafnhildur Helgadóttir and Christopher Tignor.

You can attend the performances that take place during the regular opening hours of Marres with an entrance ticket for the exhibition The Painted Bird. For the evening performances you can buy a ticket in our ticketshop.
